  • The library maintains an extensive genealogy collection, in both published and manuscript form, with a strong emphasis on Knox County and Southern Indiana. The Northwest Territory Genealogical Society meets regularly at the library and maintains a modest publishing program. The Library and the Genealogy Society jointly publish the Northwest Trail Tracer, a genealogy quarterly edited by library employee Donna Beeson. Inquiries can be made to the Northwest Territory Genealogy Society, LRC-22, Vincennes University, Vincennes, Indiana 47591. The library serves as the archives for Vincennes University, founded in 1801 and one of America's oldest institutions of higher learning.
